My entire life has revolved around children.
My parents fostered many children as I was growing up. I loved to babysit for the many families who hired me on in my hometown.
Most young girls have dreams of becoming successful doctors, lawyers or teachers. My only aspiration was to become a mother.
My own children have taught me so much about myself, life and parenting.
Over the past 18 years my children have helped me transform from a busy, overworked, perfectionist mother to an attentive, stay-at-home mom-preneur who assists families in building deeper, more satisfying relationships with in the family unit.
I believe our children are not our own. I believe our children belong to the world.
Much of the way we parent sprouts from deeply ingrained beliefs about parenting and the way children ‘should’ be. When in fact parenting needs to be about coaching and supporting our children to be the best ‘them’ they can be.
